Art review of “The Reflection from 8th Realm”
THE INSPIRATION
Hello! And welcome to today’s art blog we are reviewing one of my first-ever oil painting works to be put out for sale. Ever since childhood, I’ve been in love with abstract painting, and it completely changed my life when I discovered oil painting. the idea struck my mind when one day I was reading a science-based book on a train journey back home from the farmhouse. I was reading a chapter on the Higgs field, and since then, it stuck with me to discover and learn more and more about the topic. When I reached home I was so eager and excited to learn more from the book but it didn’t help me understand the topic further in detail. It was one of my close uncle/guru who told me to sell this painting, right then and there I knew what i wanted to do for a living, ART!
Then the only thing left for me to do was look up online and read about the Higgs boson and CERN the Large Hadron Collider! After reading several articles I understood that there are different vibration frequencies of matter on a subatomic scale which could fundamentally be various realms of realities and dimensions. This got me thinking about this really old TV series called Fringe, the show was about how humans operate when given the unimaginable power to jump across universes, and how one human protagonist from a very far future came back in time to disrupt the evil doings of a man and how it affects both the worlds in a significant way. The theory in the book was stated as such that imagine 2 sphere or a ball existing in the same space-time but their frequencies of vibration are different hence they could exist in the exact same space and time. So this was what I learned from the physics book.
I am a huge science nerd who loves to learn more and more about science, and all the laws and theories of physics! This painting was also inspired by a certain “movie”. * (The scientific theories and papers belong to the respective scientists and researchers, we/I do not claim ownership of the same)
Here you can see the golden brown frame the painting is framed in.
THE APPEARANCE OF THE PAINTING
Moving back to the topic at hand the painting you can observe this painting through different angles, and from each angle, it appears to be a different painting (it is a very subtle change and only visible while viewing it in real life). This painting is one of my favourites and how the second realm is expressed in the colourful shades of green, yellow and red. The strokes of yellow were the ones that I painted first, then the green and red. I implore the viewer to shift their perspective every time they look at the painting. By shifting perspectives, I mean when viewing it on the screen you can try seeing through the screen. The beauty of abstract paintings is that no presumptions and perspectives are wrong. What I am explaining is my point of view and there are roughly 8 billion-plus perspectives. I urge you to comment on what you think and feel about the painting. This is the whole reason I paint with oil.
HOW TO VIEW THE PAINTING
The painting is to be viewed as the glass building’s checkered window which are the black lines in the art piece painted across the painting, giving the impression of a reflection into the other realm where there are things we do not know of! I specifically used the word into to give the viewer the ability to think from my perspective. When viewed from different angles it looks slightly different from each angle. The 2 main perspective is to view the art piece as a 2D painting and the second one is to look through into the painting to get the perspective of looking through a window rather than looking at the glass.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO FINISH?
This was my first-ever painting of passion and/or whim! Where my hands drew the painting itself leaving me in a transcendent state of mind. I usually meditate before painting which helps me regulate my breathing and makes my hands more in control and stable while painting. The unique thing about this painting is that every stroke was made in just one go, there are no multiple strokes of brushing and blending in the paintings, it was done in a single stroke of different-sized brushes. It took me about 4 hours to make this art piece which is now up for sale on Saatchi art. I usually paint my art piece past midnight while there is no sound of the city or people when I am alone just the 2 of us.
Where to purchase?
[( These pictures are mockups and which may or may not represent the paintings with slightly altered colours and hue) ( I/we do not own the room background mockups they are just used to represent the approximate size of the painting)
